2011 AMA Supercross

Spoiler alert: Don't want to know the Supercross Results for Cowboys Stadium, Arlington? Then please don't open this story...

After Saturday evening's AMA Supercross race in Cowboys Stadium, a familiar name regained the points lead due to his second-place finish: Monster Energy Kawasaki's Ryan Villopoto.

Villopoto was able to slip into second due to contact between two other familiar Supercross names, Two-Two Motorsports Honda's Chad Reed and San Manuel Yamaha's James Stewart.

When these two bumped near mid-race, which seems to be a regular occurrence this season, Villopoto and the reigning champ Ryan Dungey (Rockstar Makita Suzuki) were able to ascend into second and third positions.

But as this action occurred behind, American Honda's Trey Canard was already gone. Canard took his third victory of 2011 AMA Supercross after wire-to-wire win.

Trey Canard (American Honda CRF450R) says: "I'm so grateful. So many people from home are here. This is such an awesome day and I'm just so thankful. I knew I needed another good start and it happened again. I tried to put in (20) solid laps, (but) the whoops were really tough. We'll see (about the championship). I'm just going to keep doing the best I can. That's all I can control."
